On cold winter days, somehow my neck is always the first thing that gets really cold. With super bulky yarn and a stitch pattern that creates a dense fabric, this cowl is just what’s needed to keep your neck warm.
As it is worked on very large needles as well, it works up superfast, in case there are any surprise snow excursions.
The grey colour and herringbone pattern remind me of stone patterns in Irish ringforts, which is where the name comes from.  Caiseal is an Irish word for ringfort, also known in the anglicized version Cashel.

This pattern consists of exactly 3 pattern stitches, so this is entirely perfect for a beginner looking to level up their skills.
